If your review has been held back, it's often quicker to edit it than to appeal. This is especially true when the decision is about a single detail.

How to edit

  1. Log in and go to My profile.
  2. Find the review with the status Held back.
  3. Read Decision and Rule, so you know what needs fixing.
  4. Choose Edit and resubmit.
  5. Change the stars, Headline or Your review. The text must be at least 50 characters.
  6. Choose Save changes.

Once you've saved, we check the review again. If it follows the rules, it becomes public.

Typical fixes

  • Personal data: only write the member of staff's first name, and remove phone numbers, emails, addresses and order numbers.
  • Spam or advertising: remove links and names of other companies you recommend.
  • Hateful or threatening content: describe what happened instead of attacking a person.

What you need to know

  • The review gets the Edited label, and the date changes to the day you save.
  • The original version is kept in the log.
  • A removed review can't be edited. In that case you can only appeal.

If it doesn't work

  • No Edit and resubmit button? Then the review has been removed, not held back. See Held back or removed.
  • Can't save? Check that the headline is filled in and that the text is at least 50 characters.
  • Do you think there's nothing to fix? Then appeal the decision.
