All invitations have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Many email programs also show their own unsubscribe button, and it works in the same way.
What happens when the customer unsubscribes?
- The customer gets no more invitations or reminders from you.
- Invitations that are scheduled but not yet sent are stopped.
- We delete the stored email address from the invitation.
- The unsubscribe only applies to your company, not to other companies on TrustSays.
Unsubscribed customers are always skipped
This applies to all methods: manual, customer lists, webshop and API. If an unsubscribed customer is on a customer list, the check counts the customer among those skipped, and you see the reason unsubscribed once the list has been sent.
Can we subscribe the customer again?
No. You can't remove an unsubscribe yourselves, and you may not ask the customer to subscribe again to get a review. If the customer wants to review you anyway, they can use your review link or find you on TrustSays.
Unsubscribes don't count against you
An unsubscribe doesn't affect your SaysScore. Many unsubscribes can, however, be a sign that customers are invited too early or too often. Check your waiting time under When is the invitation sent?
If a customer can't unsubscribe
Ask the customer to use the link at the bottom of the newest invitation. If that doesn't work, contact us and we'll help.
